Job summary

Techup Systems GmbH is seeking an experienced Manager for Arbeitssicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz to lead HSE at our Hinwil site. This senior role covers 80–100% workload from 2 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, with internalization planned afterward, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

You will drive safety culture, conduct risk assessments, manage regulatory interfaces, and coordinate training and audits, reporting to Group HSE.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in HSE management.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• ASA certification (Swiss specialist for occupational safety and health protection).
• Certification in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Business-fluent German.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Implement Group HSE policies and standards, monitor and report on site HSE objectives and KPIs.
• Run regulatory watch, assess compliance, and drive gap-closing actions with Legal, HR or Facilities as needed.
• Act as point of contact for authorities and support inspections.
• Define the site safety strategy and HSE roadmap, and drive initiatives to reduce incidents and risks.
• Lead risk assessments and workplace inspections, including contractor management, with authority to stop work if needed.
• Identify environmental aspects and oversee environmental reporting (waste, emissions, energy).
• Ensure incident investigations and root cause analyses, follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare external ISO certification audits and close non-conformities on time.
• Set up and implement the site HSE training plan and drive safety culture initiatives.
• Advise the Site Manager on HSE matters and coordinate HSE contacts.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and lead drills.
• Provide accurate HSE reporting to Group HSE and contribute to initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental performance at an industrial and logistics site in Hinwil (ZH). This is a senior position for a temporary assignment from 2 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, with planned internalization afterward, at a workload of 80-100% (42 hours/week at 100%). You will keep the site fully compliant with corporate standards and Swiss regulations within an Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Acting as the key HSE expert for site management, you will build a strong safety culture and drive environmental performance. The role combines hands-on site work with close alignment to the Group HSE function.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Implement Group HSE policies and standards, and monitor and report on site HSE objectives and KPIs
• Run the regulatory watch, assess compliance, and drive gap-closing actions with Legal, HR or Facilities as needed
• Act as point of contact for authorities (e.g. SUVA, labour inspectorate, environmental authorities) and support inspections
• Define the site safety strategy and HSE roadmap, and drive initiatives to reduce incidents and occupational risks
• Lead risk assessments and workplace inspections, including contractor and co-activity management, with authority to stop work in case of serious and imminent danger
• Identify environmental aspects and impacts, and oversee internal and external environmental reporting (waste, emissions, energy)
• Ensure incident investigations and root cause analyses are carried out, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Take part in internal HSE audits as auditor and auditee, prepare external ISO certification audits, and close non-conformities on time
• Set up and implement the site HSE training plan, deliver trainings, and drive awareness and safety culture initiatives
• Advise the Site Manager and line managers on HSE matters, and coordinate the site's HSE contact persons
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, lead drills, and support management in crisis situations
• Provide accurate and timely HSE reporting to Group HSE, and contribute to Group initiatives and best practice sharing
