Cisco Isovalent is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with deep Linux kernel experience to advance BPF, networking and security features. You will work on Linux kernel changes and bring them into Cilium and/or Tetragon, collaborating with a small, highly skilled team.

You will engage across engineering, product and customers to align on direction and may speak at conferences to present your work, such as KubeCon or Linux Plumbers.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of upstream Linux kernel track record.
• 5+ years of experience in C.
• Public track record of open-source code commits.

• Lead design and development of new Linux kernel functionality in areas such as BPF, networking or security, bringing changes into Cilium/Tetragon.
• Collaborate in a small technical team on forward-looking features and contribute upstream in the Linux kernel community.
