Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Zurich, Switzerland seeks a Director, Lead Counsel for Marketing & Commercial Excellence and IBU Medical to partner with MCE and IBU as they scale.

You will provide embedded legal support across cross-functional teams, advise on LOE strategies, and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance throughout product lifecycles. The role requires extensive pharmaceutical in-house experience, strong leadership, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, international environment

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial pharmaceutical in-house experience.
• Experience advising on product launches and LOE strategies.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence.
• English language fluency (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and practical legal support to MCE franchises as an embedded member of the Commercial organization.
• Provides strategic legal support to the IBU Medical organization.
• Advises on pipeline and in-market portfolio strategies and LOE activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborates with regional and country legal colleagues and global teams (SPD, DD&T, Contracting, IP).
• Partners with Ethics & Compliance and Advertising & Promotion to ensure ethical interactions with patients and stakeholders.
