Pay Range: $40.00 – $43.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Onsite minimum 3 days per week; during training up to 5 days per week

Duration: 1-year contract

Position Overview

The Labor and Employment Paralegal will support the Legal Department at the client’s corporate headquarters. This role works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and internal stakeholders, with a primary focus on labor and employment matters. Key responsibilities include responding to third-party legal requests and supporting litigation activities across multiple matters.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with responses to third-party legal requests, including subpoenas, summons, and search warrants related to employment records.
  • Collect, organize, and compile data and documentation from multiple internal sources to fulfill legal requests.
  • Support multiple employment-related cases, including agency charges and demand letters, from initiation through resolution.
  • Provide litigation support, including document collection, organization, review, and production.
  • Manage and update dockets, track case deadlines, and maintain files within the matter management system.
  • Draft and issue litigation holds for assigned matters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the legal department.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and multitask with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and legal software such as Workday, DocuSign CM, and TeamConnect.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of legal research tools such as Courtlink and LexisNexis preferred.
  • Working knowledge of litigation-related legal concepts, terminology, and procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams and cross-functional business partners.
  • Experience with an immigration law firm, immigration department, or corporate immigration function preferred.
Education
  • Two-year college degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant work experience.
