Reports to: Director, Strategic Accounts, Sonance Professional
As Key Account Manager, you will own and grow a portfolio of high-value global or national A/V integrators, driving top line sales and deepening strategic partnerships globally, but mainly in the United States. This pivotal role requires strong strategic relationship building, account management, project management, and sales operations skills, along with the ability to build and nurture relationships with decision makers, influencers, and channel partners.
You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute account plans, hit sales goals, and deliver exceptional experiences for customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top customers, industry partners, and decision-makers within selected key accounts to drive growth and brand presence.
- Strategic Account Management: Understand each customer’s business, map stakeholders, map key offices and identify growth opportunities including upsell, cross sell, and multi - office expansion.
- Drive Results: Own revenue, growth, and retention targets for assigned key accounts; develop and execute strategic account plans that align with company goals.
- Relationship Building & Networking: Build strong, trust-based relationships with end users, consultants, integrators, architects, and other key influencers to increase loyalty and share of wallet.
- Rep Force Management: Develop and optimize relationships with key personnel within our commission-based rep firms. Ensure they have the training, tools, and motivation to represent Sonance at the highest level.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Drive execution of our go-to market strategy across all channels—professional AV dealers, consultants, architects, end users, developers, distributors, and key influencers—to achieve aggressive revenue growth targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to align on product launches, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in key account management, strategic sales, or business development, preferably in Pro Audio/AV or related technology markets
- Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and deliver revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of professional AV channels, including distribution, contractor, consultant, and end-user segments.
- Expertise in strategic planning, sales forecasting, and team leadership
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across internal and external teams.
- Willingness to travel 50%+ domestically
- Location is based out of San Clemente, CA HQ
