Big Science Sweden is seeking a Radiation Protection Physicist to join their Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection Unit. You will contribute to the radiation protection aspects during the Long Shutdown 3 of the Large Hadron Collider.

Eligible candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience. This role requires dedication and attention to safety standards within a dynamic team environment.

As Radiation Protection Physicist you will be part of the Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection (HSE ) Unit, namely the Accelerators & Sites (AS) section of the HSE Radiation Protection (RP) Group. You will join a dynamic team, working on the radiation protection aspects of the operation, and the upgrades of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC ), during the so-called Long Shutdown 3 (LS3).

• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
