Job summary

UNEP FI in Geneva seeks a junior consultant to support the Nature team in delivering research and policy engagement for the Revenues for Nature project. You will help develop knowledge products, coordinate stakeholders, and prepare materials for global policy events, ensuring alignment with Paris Agreement, SDGs, and human rights considerations.

The role supports integration of nature finance into financial markets, contributing to policy engagement and knowledge creation while upholding UN core

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant field; Bachelor's with 4 years experience may substitute.
• Minimum two years' experience in environmental non-profit, financial services, public policy, or related research.
• Experience in nature finance or social/human rights dimensions of nature-related finance desirable.
• Experience with biodiversity markets, international policy processes, or working with Indigenous Peoples and local communities is an asset.
• Excellent English communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide research, drafting, and coordination support for the Revenues for Nature (R4N) project.
• Backstop post-event engagement and compile records of engagements.
• Synthesize outcomes and coordinate follow-up actions for the financial sector.
• Support the implementation of UNEP FI’s Social Action Plan.
• Prepare briefing and follow-up materials for Nature team's participation in global policy events.
• Track and maintain follow-up actions from policy engagement activities.
• Ensure outputs reflect UN values such as human rights, leaving no one behind, and gender equality.
