Zusammenfassung

Zühlke Group in Bern, Switzerland, seeks a Java Fullstack Engineer to design and implement versatile customer projects in web and enterprise environments. You’ll work in a team to tailor solutions to customer needs using modern, agile methods.

You will collaborate with customers, write clean code with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, and engage with teammates to learn and grow while applying Dev-Ops practices throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of proven experience as a Java Developer with OOP knowledge.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular/React).
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud/microservices.
• Experience in agile methodologies and teams.
• Fluent in German and English (C1).

Job Description

The role

As part of a team, you will design & implement versatile customer projects in the web and enterprise environment that are tailored to customer needs using modern, agile project methods.

How You’ll Make Impact

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business and translate requirements into high quality software. Expect to visit our customers around 2-3 times per week.
• Engage with developers on your team to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code leveraging methodologies such as pair- and mob-programming.
• Learn and grow on the project by incorporating feedback from your team members to fully unlock your potential.
• Support the entire software lifecycle with your Dev-Ops mentality from ideation to production.
• Automate quality checks right from the start using techniques such as test-driven development and specification by example.
• Continuously keep up to date with the latest technologies & trends and share your knowledge.

What’s Important To Us

• You have a Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 1-2 years of proven experience as a Java Developer with a good understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices.
• You put the customer first and support the project’s success as a Java Fullstack Engineer with the latest JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React or similar frameworks in the frontend.
• You bring some knowledge in different technologies, such as Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• You have some experience in agile methodologies and have worked within agile development teams
• You are a good communicator, team player and problem solver and are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level)
