Zusammenfassung

River Advice AG in Basel is seeking an IT System Engineer focused on Cloud to shape our cloud landscape. You will design, deploy, operate, and continually improve secure, scalable cloud solutions that support our digital transformation across on‑prem and Azure environments.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Azure, Intune, and AD skills, strong networking knowledge, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. English proficiency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 Administration, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft Intune.
• Strong networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs and firewalls.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud environments based on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost efficiency
• Support hybrid cloud architectures and integrations between on-premises and cloud platforms
• Implement and maintain cloud security including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and Defender solutions
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance requirements
• Plan and deliver cloud migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects
• Conduct security assessments and remediation to strengthen security posture
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of cloud services

Your responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud environments based on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud resources to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency
• Support hybrid cloud architectures and integrations between on-premises and cloud platforms
• Implement and maintain cloud security, including Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Microsoft Defender solutions
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and support compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements
• Plan and deliver cloud migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects
• Conduct security assessments and drive remediation activities to strengthen the organization's security posture
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the successful delivery and continuous improvement of cloud services

Your profile:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 Administration, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft Intune
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewalls
• A structured, accurate, and independent way of working
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences
• A passion for cloud technologies and continuous learning
• Fluency in English, a good knowledge of German is a plus

Advantageous:

• Experience with the Microsoft Defender suite
• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Landing Zones
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI services, or other AI-powered cloud technologies
