Jobup in St. Gallen seeks an IT Platform Manager to own and drive the lifecycle of critical IT platforms. You ensure stable, secure operation and lead changes with external partners.

You will analyze platform interdependencies, coordinate with teams and providers, and proactively plan maintenance, patches and upgrades to maintain high availability and performance.

At the headquarters in St. Gallen, you take responsibility for the reliable operation and further development of our IT platforms. You understand the technical interrelationships, keep an eye on the condition and lifecycle of the platforms, and manage necessary adjustments together with our external service providers.

IT Platform Manager 80 – 100%

What you will achieve

• You are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the IT platforms assigned to you, manage their further development and ensure stable, secure and reliable operation.
• You monitor the technical condition, availability and performance of the systems, recognise the need for action early and initiate the necessary measures.
• You analyse and specify changes to the platforms, commission their implementation with our external service providers and ensure proper execution.
• In the event of disruptions and technical problems, you take over coordination, conduct root cause analyses together with the involved parties and ensure sustainable resolution.
• You plan lifecycle, maintenance, patch and upgrade topics proactively and coordinate their implementation with internal departments and external partners.
• You document relevant configurations and operational information comprehensibly and continuously develop our operational processes and standards together with the involved parties.

What you bring

• A higher education in computer science (HF/FH) or a comparable qualification forms the basis of your profile.
• Several years of experience in the operation and support of complex IT systems or IT platforms as well as experience in provider management distinguish you. You have a solid technical understanding and are familiar with coordinating changes, incidents and technical operational tasks.
• You move confidently in modern platform landscapes and understand the interaction of different technology components. Ideally, you bring experience with Avaloq, databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL or MongoDB, Kafka as well as container platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• You understand the concepts and interrelationships of modern platforms and can assess and connect topics such as CI/CD, monitoring and observability as well as identity & access management holistically. Technologies such as GitLab, Argo CD, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus or Keycloak are familiar to you.
• You think analytically, work in a structured and responsible manner and quickly grasp even complex technical contexts. You communicate clearly, reliably and on equal terms with internal and external stakeholders.
