Job summary

Mercer, based in Zurich, seeks an Investment Solutions Client Manager to support a growing Swiss client base within Marsh’s global investment solutions team. Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth knowledge of Marsh’s delegated fund structures and investment solutions to explain to colleagues and clients.
• Support the Swiss Investment Solutions client base with a focus on delivering first-class service at scale.
• Collaborate with Investment Directors and other teams to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate performance and strategies.
• Assist with performance analysis, strategic asset allocation commentary, and client presentations.
• Support business development activities with the Swiss sales team.
• Lead relationship management with client investment committees and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate across portfolio management, operations and consulting teams to advance projects and timely delivery.
• Deliver investment outputs and documentation within critical timelines.

Investment Solutions Client Manager

What you can expect:

An exciting opportunity to join one of Marsh’s largest and most rapidly-growing business areas – investment solutions. As part of our Investment Solutions International Client Team, the successful candidate will support Mercer’s investment solutions client base in Switzerland. The candidate will work closely with our Investment Directors to support a selection of our Swiss clients. As part of the International Client Team, the successful candidate will develop an intricate knowledge of Marsh’s investment solutions by liaising on an ongoing basis with portfolio management,research and operational teams, and help to filter this expertise across Mercer’s teams of consultants and clients.

The role will facilitate exciting career opportunities within a dynamic and rapidly growing area of Marsh’s business driven by strong demand across established and new markets.

We will count on you to:

• Develop in-depth knowledge of Marsh’s delegated fund structures and bespoke investment solutions in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and clients.
• Support the development of Marsh’s overall client-service delivery across our Investment Solutions client base in Switzerland, ensuring a first-class customer experience in a scalable way.
• Collaborate directly with some of Marsh’s largest Investment Solutions clients, managing multiple stakeholder relationships to ensure clear and timely communication between investment managers, internal Marsh teams, and clients.
• Support Marsh colleagues/consultants on a variety of topics including performance analysis, strategic asset allocation advice, economic commentaries and client presentations.
• Support business development activities in the Swiss market alongside the Swiss sales team.
• Lead relationship management with our client’s investment committees and other key stakeholders, and hold periodic client meetings
• Liaise with wider operational, portfolio management and consulting teams across Marsh, including management of a wide range of projects as they arise.
• Deliver investment output & documentation within critical timelines.
• Train and develop junior colleagues.

What you need to have:

• Energy, proactivity and desire to see things done efficiently.
• Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner.
• Ability to communicate fluently in (Swiss) German and English, French would be a plus.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to lead regular internal meetings and oversee communication channels to maintain responsiveness and collaboration
• Attention to detail, strong project management skills.
• Relationship management and ideally also some consulting experience
• Knowledge and experience of investment markets across range of assets:
• CFA charterholder or similar education would be an advantage.
• Strong IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
