Sirius Energy SA is seeking an Intraday Trader in Lugano, Switzerland. You will work with senior traders to learn the intraday power market, build quantitative tools, and manage risk in a fast-paced data-driven environment.

You will read market signals, backtest strategies, and collaborate to develop predictive signals, with mentorship from experienced teammates. A dynamic growth path awaits in a growing energy trading house.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, CS, Engineering or related field.
• Excellent Python skills across the scientific stack (Polars/pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with Git, testing, and clean production code.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts for continuous market coverage.

Responsibilities

• Open, manage, and review positions in day-ahead and intraday power markets on 24/7 shifts.
• Maintain and improve modelling, forecasting and bidding tools.
• Analyse large datasets — prices, fundamentals, grid data, weather — to identify trading signals.
• Design, backtest and monitor systematic optimization strategies with rigorous validation.
• Discuss and propose new trading ideas with senior traders.
