Job summary

Agroscope is seeking a field-oriented contributor to support agronomy field experiments, data collection, and post-harvest sample preparation. The role includes assisting in organizing field days for farmers and agronomic advisors at multiple sites across Switzerland.

The ideal candidate holds a university or technical college degree in agronomy or related sciences, with an interest in practical research, field work endurance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completed university or technical college degree in agronomy, biology, environmental sciences or a comparable field.

Responsibilities

• Support for field experiments and harvesting of lentils with cereals
• Data collection: plant growth, weed pressure, insects, diseases, soil samples
• Post-harvest work: Preparation of samples for laboratory analysis (quality and seed health)
• Assistance in the organisation of a field day for farmers and agricultural advisors

This makes you unique

• Completed university or technical college degree in agronomy, biology, environmental sciences or a comparable field (degree obtained no more than 18 months ago)


• A strong interest in practical research as well as enjoyment and endurance in field work


• Knowledge in production of arable crops and knowledge of statistics are desirable


• Committed, flexible, reliable and team-oriented personality


• Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and English
