Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, invites applications for a 12‑month internship in the Process Expert team (Downstream). You will gain hands-on exposure to biopharmaceutical manufacturing and technology transfer processes, working on site to enable close collaboration and high precision in manufacturing medicines.

You will support technology transfer activities, data collection and analysis for batches, and preparation of presentations and process documents for stakeholders and customers.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
• Strong curiosity about biopharma manufacturing and process science.
• Basic GMP understanding is an advantage.
• Strong communication in English; German is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented and a good teammate.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Assist in technology transfer activities by helping prepare process documentation, tracking data, and coordinating cross-functional input.
• Support data collection and analysis for manufacturing batches, deviations, and process performance trends.
• Help prepare presentations, reports, and process descriptions for internal stakeholders and customer interactions.
• Participate in process risk assessments, change controls, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, QA, and Process Development teams on daily operations and troubleshooting.

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland.

As an intern supporting the Process Expert team in Downstream area, you will gain hands‑on exposure to biopharmaceutical manufacturing and technology transfer processes.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Duration: 12 months.

What you'll do:

• Assisting in technology transfer activities by helping prepare process documentation, tracking data, and coordinating cross-functional input.
• Supporting data collection and analysis for manufacturing batches, deviations, and process performance trends.
• Helping to prepare presentations, reports, and process descriptions for internal stakeholders and customer interactions.
• Participating in process risk assessments, change controls, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing, MSAT, QA, and Process Development teams on daily operations and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintaining GMP documentation practices and ensuring data integrity in support of regulatory compliance.
• Attending and contributing to team meetings, taking notes, and following up on action items.

What we are looking for:

• Ongoing or completed Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Strong curiosity about biopharma manufacturing and process science (USP or DSP).
• Basic understanding of bioprocessing and GMP is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a good teammate.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
