Job summary

Wyss&Lila GmbH is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern to join our team. You will work closely with senior engineers on real rail-focused electrical design projects, gaining exposure to standards, documentation and CAD-based tasks.

You will support AutoCAD drafting, documentation preparation and data organization while learning budgeting and version control processes under supervision. This hands-on internship offers practical experience in a growing international mobility brand.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting, layers and blocks/attributes.
• Strong MS Word/Excel formatting and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and terminology.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design team with AutoCAD drafting and drawing cleanup.
• Assist in preparing and formatting technical documents (concept reports, calculations, specifications).
• Monitor and help manage budgets, expenses, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain document version control and cross-referencing across deliverables.
• Support data entry for cable sizing, load calculations and equipment lists.
• Assist with minor drawing updates under supervision.
• Provide general administrative support for the engineering team.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the electrical design team with AutoCAD drafting, drawing cleanup, and attribute/block management
• Assist in preparing and formatting technical documents (concept reports, calculation sheets, specifications)
• Monitor and control company budgets, expenses, and cost efficiency
• Help maintain document version control, cross-referencing, and consistency across deliverables
• Support data entry and organization for cable sizing, load calculations, and equipment lists
• Assist with minor drawing updates and markups under engineer supervision
• General administrative support for the engineering team

Your Profile

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting, layers, blocks/attributes)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word/Excel document formatting; attention to detail
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and terminology
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
• Organized, reliable, able to follow structured documentation standards
