World Meteorological Organization in Geneva is offering an internship to support the SOFF readiness and investment phases. You will assist in monitoring outputs, reporting, and maintaining the SOFF databases and learning platforms, working in a UN system with a focus on climate finance.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in meteorology or related fields, strong written English, and experience with climate change projects and international development contexts.

1. Support the monitoring and administration of SOFF Readiness phase outputs in coordination with the WMO Technical Authority.
2. Assist in monitoring and reporting on the implementation of SOFF Readiness and Investment phase including:
3. Assist in maintaining and updating the SOFF Operations Database and SOFF Learning platform.
4. Provide overall support to SOFF operational activities as required.
Bachelor’s in Meteorology, Environmental Science, Climate, Disaster Risk Management, International Relations or a related field. A master's is considered an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of other official languages of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) would be an advantage.
The internship will offer an opportunity for a young professional to gain experience working for a specialized climate fund and overseeing aspects of portfolio management. The internship will also offer experience working for a United Nations specialized agency and specifically on climate finance.
