Job summary

Global Roles in Geneva seeks an Associate Public Information Officer to support outreach and communications for the IIIM, focusing on informative content, events, and partnerships with civil society and victims groups.

You will draft materials for newsletters, briefings, and websites; organize conferences and online events; track information and assess campaigns' impact, while engaging diverse stakeholders across the MENA region.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in communications or related field.
• Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, international relations or public administration.
• Experience organizing events for international organizations.
• Experience engaging Civil Society Organizations from MENA region.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with CMS, design software, and new media is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drafts/compiles informational content for newsletters, reports, briefings, video clips, social media, website, etc.
• Organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, consultations, and prepares briefing materials for participants and senior officials.
• Supports production and distribution of information material.
• Tracks, researches and analyzes information, gathers data from diverse sources and assesses impact of information campaigns.
• Identifies information opportunities and approaches for target audiences.
• Identifies key contacts and opportunities to facilitate outreach.
• Responds to inquiries and prepares related correspondence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
