Zusammenfassung

EY in Zürich is offering an internship with EY's Transactions Corporate Finance team. You will work on high-profile buy- and sell-side M&A projects, gaining hands-on experience across diligence, valuation and financial modelling.

Based in our Zurich office, you will learn via coaching and exposure to senior bankers, with a potential path to full-time onboarding after the internship. English and German fluency are essential; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced Master’s in business, finance or economics.
• Experience in M&A, private equity or transaction diligence preferred.

Based in our Zurich office, you will join one of the leading mid-market M&A teams in Switzerland, Europe, and globally, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile sell- and buy-side M&A transactions with corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors. During this exceptional opportunity, you will gain hands on experience on various projects with a steep learning curve. This internship may also provide an opportunity to join the team in a full-time capacity.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of transaction documents such as information memorandum, teaser, management presentation;
• Company valuations using market and comparable transaction multiples and the DCF method;
• Assist in the execution of M&A transactions from pitch to close;
• In-depth industry and company analyses;
• Preparation of potential buyer and target lists;
• Support in the due diligence process;
• Sharpen your technical skills in areas such as accounting, business valuations and financial modeling;
• Support on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that tight deadlines are met.

What We Look For

• Completed Bachelor’s degree or advanced stage of Master’s degree with excellent academic track record in business administration, finance, economics, etc;
• First experience in relevant fields, ideally in M&A (M&A boutique, investment banking, Big Four) or in private equity, investment management, transaction diligence, etc;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Additional fluency in French advantageous;
• Proficiency in Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc);
• Exceptional analytical abilities and strong organizational skills;
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
