You will draft and file patent applications, monitor procedures before EPO/WIPO, conduct patentability studies, and contribute to business development while upholding high standards of analysis and writing in a multilingual environment.

You will join an experienced team of intellectual property consultants and manage a portfolio of innovative clients active in various technical fields.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Drafting and filing patent applications. Monitoring procedures before the EPO, WIPO and national offices in collaboration with local correspondents. Responding to examination notifications from offices. Active participation in opposition and appeal procedures before the EPO boards. Conducting patentability, freedom-to-operate and validity studies. Strategic advice on the protection of our clients’ innovations. Supporting Swiss and international clients with their intellectual property issues. Contributing to the firm’s business development and client retention.
Engineering degree, Master’s or Doctorate in science or technology. Qualification as a Qualified Representative before the European Patent Office is essential; other national qualifications (Swiss Representative or CPI) are desirable. Proven experience in a firm or industry. Generalist training enabling understanding of inventions in various technical fields. Excellent writing and analytical skills. Proficiency in professional French and English. German is of course an asset. Entrepreneurial spirit and client orientation. Autonomy, rigour and sense of responsibility. Preferably with an existing client portfolio.
