Job summary

The Information Management Officer at the Independent Institution on Missing Persons in the Syrian Arab Republic (IIMP), based in Geneva, contributes to policies and guidelines for records and archives management. You will develop systems, oversee information extraction, and provide expert advice on information management infrastructure.

The role includes leading training on eDiscovery, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring preservation and retrievability of information assets.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive experience in archives management, record keeping, library science, or information management.
• Experience analyzing information with e-discovery software and managing the information lifecycle.
• Desirable experience in data privacy/security protocols and database management with SQL/Python/R.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for records and archives management.
• Lead analysis of technical data structures for information extraction and data integrity.
• Provide expert advice on information management systems, protocols and infrastructure.
• Oversee training programs on eDiscovery tools.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for electronic records preservation and retrievability.
