Swiss Army is seeking a senior DevSecOps/platform engineer to design, integrate and operate backend services on the OpenShift platform. You will lead secure operation, automate deployments, and manage key security services such as PKI/IAM/PAM across the system landscape.
We expect several years of experience in security-critical environments, strong Kubernetes/OpenShift/Linus skills, and a hands-on approach to automation using Ansible, Helm and Python.

Design, integration and further development of backend services for tactical and civilian communication solutions on the OpenShift platform NDP and take responsibility for their secure operation as well as automate deployment, configuration and testing Design, integrate and take responsibility for central security services such as key management (COMSEC/TRANSEC), PKI, IAM and PAM throughout their entire lifecycle and embed them consistently into the NDP -- Communication Services system landscape Develop and integrate components for security services and testing as well as ensure monitoring, logging, alarming and continuous optimisation of operational and end-to-end processes Analyse and resolve disruptions in the interaction between platforms and subsystems, take on technical coordination and escalation with suppliers, and plan and implement changes, releases, upgrades and lifecycle activities Lead external DevSecOps engineers professionally, structure tasks, review and challenge technical solution approaches and establish binding quality standards Work in SAFe at team and ART level, collaborate closely with product owner, scrum master and architect, translate technical requirements into implementable solutions and document them, as well as use scripting and automation with tools such as Python and Ansible
Training as an IT specialist (EFZ/FA/FH), technician HF or engineer (UNI/ETH/FH) in computer science or telecommunications with good knowledge in the other field and several years of experience as a senior DevSecOps, platform or system engineer in complex, security-critical environments Very good knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux, container technologies, Git, CI/CD as well as infrastructure/configuration as code and automation, e.g. with Ansible, Helm and Python/Shell Broad security know-how in key management/cryptographic services, PKI, IAM/PAM, secrets management, hardening and vulnerability management as well as the ability to professionally challenge specialists Sound experience in platform operation as well as with monitoring, logging and alarming and common OSS ecosystems such as ELK, Zabbix, Grafana or OpenTelemetry and strong competence in end-to-end troubleshooting Experience with IT service management and ServiceNow as well as incident, problem, change, configuration and lifecycle processes; confident in dealing with suppliers and integrating manufacturer-specific application services Strong technical leadership and communication skills as well as experience in agile/SAFe organisations; ability to translate architecture, security and operational requirements into robust and automatable solutions
