Job summary

Proclinical seeks a Project Engineer (HVAC) in Switzerland to define and implement HVAC concepts for capital projects within a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires a degree in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering, business fluency in German, and hands-on HVAC expertise in GMP facilities, with commissioning experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• German language fluency required; basic to intermediate English preferred.
• Strong HVAC expertise with relevant codes, regs, and standards.
• Experience in pharma/biotech/chemical/industrial manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with GMP and cleanroom environments is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with commissioning and integrated testing activities.
• Structured, detail-oriented, independent work style for multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement HVAC concepts and requirements for capital projects.
• Coordinate with process engineers, EIC engineers, mechanical/piping teams, architects, partners, EHS and fire protection experts, and project teams.
• Provide technical oversight of HVAC systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contractors and vendors responsible for HVAC installations.
• Ensure project delivery meets cost, schedule, quality, and compliance needs.
• Participate in 3D design reviews and resolve clashes through multidisciplinary coordination.
• Oversee commissioning, functional testing, and acceptance activities for HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders during system tests.
• Review, collect, and hand over as-built documentation to operations and end users.
• Support additional CAPEX team activities as needed.
