Job summary

Alejydis Prestige is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a private residence in Verbier. The role requires a minimum of five years in similar positions, with an eye for luxury home care and impeccable discretion.

You will run day-to-day household operations with autonomy, care for fine furnishings, manage laundry, assist the chef during dinners, and oversee suppliers and contractors. Accommodation may be offered for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Eye for detail and knowledge of luxury home care.
• Independent and reliable, able to work with little supervision.
• Warm, trustworthy, with impeccable discretion.
• Fluent English essential, French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the entire residence to high standards of cleanliness and readiness for family and guests.
• Run the household day to day with autonomy, anticipate needs and manage routines.
• Care for fine furnishings, artwork and delicate materials with proper techniques.
• Manage laundry and ironing and liaise with the dry cleaner.
• Unpack on arrival and help pack when they leave, incl. garment care.
• Assist the chef with serving and clearing during dinners when needed.
• Check sauna and pool areas daily; ensure towels and towels refilled.
• Purchase groceries and household items per family preferences and keep stock.
• Receive deliveries and supervise contractors and service providers; report maintenance issues.

As part of an ongoing search, we are currently recruiting an experienced Housekeeper for an exceptional private residence in Verbier.

Description

• Maintain the entire residence to high standards of cleanliness, ensuring it is always ready to welcome the family and their guests
  
• Run the household day to day with full autonomy, anticipating needs and setting up simple routines for upkeep, supplies and record-keeping
  
• Care for fine furnishings, artwork and delicate materials using the appropriate techniques
  
• Manage laundry and ironing, and liaise with the dry cleaner
  
• Unpack when the family arrives and help pack when they leave, including garment care
  
• Assist the chef with serving and clearing at dinners when needed
  
• Check the sauna and pool areas daily: fresh towels, refills, and a tidy space ready for use
  
• Buy groceries and household items according to the family’s preferences, and keep supplies and inventory stocked
• Receive deliveries and post, welcome and supervise contractors and service providers, and report maintenance issues to the person responsible
  
• Look after the cat, and a dog in future: feeding, care and walking if needed
  
• Work alongside the other household staff and service providers
• Willingness to accompany the family, on a flexible basis, to their other residences abroad for a cumulative period of 3 to 5 months a year would be a significant advantage
