A global biotechnology company located in Switzerland is seeking a senior quality leader for strategic oversight of their quality organization. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a life sciences field and extensive experience in pharmaceutical quality leadership. Responsibilities include fostering a culture of accountability, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in operational quality. Provide strategic leadership for the Quality organization, ensuring the structure, capabilities, and workforce plan are proactively aligned with the site's long‑term growth trajectory and evolving business priorities for Mammalian Small Scale, Mammalian Large Scale and Cell Banking.
Cultivate a high‑performing and globally minded Quality culture, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and regulatory bodies.
Ensure uninterrupted, compliant product supply by maintaining a state of continuous inspection readiness and by shaping the site’s quality posture to meet and exceed expectations from regulators, clients, and corporate leadership.
Exercise executive Quality oversight for the Mammalian Manufacturing assets, including final release decisions, approval of Quality‑critical documentation, and leadership of comprehensive, data‑driven risk assessments to uphold compliance and operational excellence.
Drive the Quality strategy for lean, efficient, and compliant operations, embedding continuous‑improvement behaviors, governance structures, and performance management mechanisms to sustainably elevate quality performance.
Provide high‑level quality governance, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with Mammalian Production and broader site Quality systems.
Oversee and influence governance for critical shared systems and design criteria, ensuring alignment across neighboring technologies, platforms, and business units to secure end-to-end quality continuity.
Serve as the executive steward for cell‑banking quality, ensuring all related technologies, processes, and documentation fully adhere to global regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
Advanced degree in Pharmacy/ Engineering/ Chemistry/ Microbiology or a related Life Sciences field.
Profound experience in progressive leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, with a significant portion spent in senior Quality leadership roles guiding large teams and complex operations.
Proven ability to shape organizational strategy, attract and develop senior‑level talent, and build resilient, future‑ready Quality teams.
Deep expertise in biopharmaceutical and biological manufacturing processes, with broad knowledge of modern Quality systems, regulatory expectations, and enterprise governance models.
Demonstrated leadership experience in mammalian cell manufacturing, with an ability to influence technical and operational strategy.
Strong decision‑making capability grounded in transparent, data‑driven, risk‑based thinking, with a track record of setting direction amid ambiguity and complexity.
Fluency in English required; German proficiency strongly preferred
