u-blox AG in Thalwil, Switzerland seeks a Senior Manager Production Engineer & Packaging to lead a high-performing team across IC manufacturing, assembly, test and packaging, delivering stable, high-yield, cost-efficient operations.

You will bridge technical execution and business delivery, drive industrialization and ramp-up, and coordinate with external fabs and OSATs in a fast-paced global environment. Strong leadership and data-driven decisions are essential.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in leading and developing technical engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of IC manufacturing flows, yield management, and production ramp-up.
• Experience working with external manufacturing partners (fabs, OSATs, test houses) in a global supply chain.
• Structured, data-driven problem solver with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Good team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Engineers and Package Engineers, providing clear technical direction and strong people leadership.
• Own production readiness, industrialization, and high-volume manufacturing ramp-up of new products across assembly and test
• Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and production capability enhancements across wafer fab, assembly and test operations.
• Coordinate and lead the resolution of production issues, including yield excursions, equipment-related problems, and reliability risks.
• Oversee package development activities to ensure reliability, performance, quality, and manufacturability targets are consistently met.
• Ensure robust documentation, change control, and alignment of production and package specifications across the organization and supply chain.
