Job summary

Agathon is seeking a passionate Head of Vocational Training Mechanics to inspire and lead our apprenticeship program in Bellach. You will manage the training workshop, deliver foundational and advanced education, and coordinate with departments to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

You will plan examinations, mentor apprentices, recruit trainees, and drive continuous improvement in our processes, with a competitive remuneration package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship as polymechanic EFZ or equivalent (must-have).
• Willingness to complete inter-company course (ÜK) leader training or already completed.
• Several years of experience in vocational training, ideally related to the machine industry.
• High social competence, didactic skills and joy in imparting knowledge.
• Leadership experience and entrepreneurial, networked thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the training workshop and mentor apprentices in mechanics.
• Conduct foundational and specialized training in manufacturing techniques (manual and CNC).
• Plan and conduct partial and final apprenticeship examinations.
• Budget and cost centre responsibility; coordinate with departments.
• Recruit apprentices including career explorations and trial apprenticeships.
• Plan and conduct vocational training events.
