Zusammenfassung

Fortil in Switzerland seeks a Hardware Validation/Bring-Up Engineer to join an international engineering team working on advanced electronic products in demanding environments. You will validate, debug, and bring-up PCBA-level and product-level hardware, document results, and support design teams during issue analysis.

The role requires 5–10 years of hardware testing experience, degree in Electronics or related field, and fluency in English with French a plus.

As part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Hardware Validation / Bring-Up Engineer (M/F).

You will join an engineering team working on advanced electronic products operating in demanding and highly structured environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hardware validation, qualification and verification activities.




• Perform board bring-up, debugging and troubleshooting of electronic boards.




• Execute test plans and document test results.




• Support design teams during issue analysis and corrective actions.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field.

You have 5 to 10 years of experience in hardware testing, validation, qualification, bring-up or electronic board debugging. Experience in automotive, airborne, aerospace, industrial or regulated environments is highly appreciated.

• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.

• Experience with PCBA testing and troubleshooting.




• Ability to write clear test documentation and validation reports.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, airborne or regulated environments.




• Experience with EMC, ESD, thermal or vibration testing.




• Exposure to DFM / DFA / DFT methodologies.




• Experience with tools such as Altium, KiCAD, Zuken, Expedition or equivalent.




• Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C or UART.




• Previous exposure to industrialization or production support.

Languages

• Fluent English is mandatory.




• French is a plus.
