Zusammenfassung

Applitrack is seeking a Grounds Crew member to maintain school grounds district-wide. Responsibilities include mowing, planting, snow removal, operating and maintaining grounds equipment, and performing routine repairs to tools and surfaces.

The role involves assisting with event setups, sign installation, and safety upkeep of play areas and landscaping. Prior lawn care or facilities maintenance experience is helpful; ability to work outdoors in varying weather is essential.

Aufgaben

• Adjusts and repairs grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, sprinklers, shears, etc using small hand tools
• Repairs parking lots by filling in cracks/holes with gravel or asphalt
• Paints traffic lines, curbs, and parking lines
• Maintains district landscaping: cultivating, planting, watering, fertilizing, weeding, edging, pruning, triming
• Maintains district lawns: mowing, weed-eating, spraying, fertilizing
• Installs and maintains district signs and posts
• Leaf removal activities such as raking, collecting and disposing of leaves; clears storm drains and traps
• Snow removal from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances using shovels, snow blowers, plow vehicles, and small front loading tractors
• Spreads salt and other anti skid materials to prevent slipping
• Covers trees, shrubs, plant beds with fabric to protect landscape from ice and salt damage
• Safely operates yard equipment such as push mowers, tillers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and edgers
• Safely operates large equipment such as riding mowers, dump trucks, back hoes, front loaders, chippers, skil loaders, and vaccuums
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as fueling, lubricating, and cleaning
• Applies herbicide and pesticides in a safe manner as a licensed applicator or a registered technician with required training and testing
• Loads, moves and transfers large school items when necessary
• pressure washers outdoor areas to remove stains, graffiti, gum, etc
• Assists with unloading trucks at Central Receiving with a forklift with additional help is needed
• Maintains playground fall surface areas to keep playgrounds safe and clean
• Assists the assigned custodian with cleaning in the Annex when needed
• sets traffic horses to ensure the orderly flow of traffic
• Assists with setup for large events
• Assists with maintenance duties when needed
