ABB Schweiz AG is seeking a Global Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Commodity PCBA & Cable. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Management roles within the EMS industry.
• IPC standard knowledge; IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 trainer is a plus.
• Experience with RCA, CAPA, and KPI-driven performance management.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certifications are desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with global teams.

Aufgaben

• Execute supplier qualification process and ensure suppliers remain qualified and compliant.
• Lead supplier development improvement projects with the on-site Supplier team.
• Use quality management tools for collaboration, reporting, and metrics.
• Ensure consistency in process/product controls across ABB units/LSOs.
• Address quality, delivery, non-conforming products, or project services issues promptly.
• Promote early supplier involvement in product development to drive improvements.

We are looking for a Global Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) - Commodity PCBA & Cable, who will be responsible for leading the qualification, development, and performance management of a panel of approximately 10-15 global EMS suppliers located across different regions worldwide.

This position plays a key role within the rapidly growing Critical Power business, driven by the strong expansion of the data center market.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid / remote.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensures the execution of the supplier qualification process and that the relevant suppliers are fully qualified and remain compliant with the required standards.
• Leads improvement projects in collaboration with the on-site Supplier team (Supplier Development)
• Uses supplier quality management tools and systems for collaboration, reporting, monitoring and disposition of quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metrics
• Ensure consistency in the process/product controls performed on the different parts purchased from different ABB Manufacturing Units/ Local Sales Unit (LSOs).
• Leads in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services.
• Promotes early supplier involvement in product development activities to maximize capture of supplier innovation and drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic or electrical engineering
• 10+ years of experiencein Quality Management roles within a EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Industry
• Deep product knowledge of IPC Standard. Being an IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 trainer is considered a plus
• Proven experience in cross-functional and cross-site Quality management, including RCA methodologies, CAPA processes, and KPI-driven performance management
• Green Belt of Black belt certifications
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align global teams across different cultures and organizational levels
