Zusammenfassung

ALTEN Switzerland is hiring a Project Manager Structural Engineer in Zürich to lead steel-structure projects from sales through design and on-site assembly. You will coordinate international engineering teams, ensure quality, timelines and budgets, and work closely with customers and internal teams.

We seek a Civil Engineer with solid steel construction experience, familiarity with GIS, and proficiency in CAD and BIM tools. English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Solid experience in steel construction; familiarity with GIS is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in technical project management within civil engineering.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software (SCIA Engineer, STAAD Pro) is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (2D/3D AutoCAD).
• Experience with BIM software (Tekla Structures) is advantageous.
• Understanding of standards and codes (EC, AISC, EN 1090).
• Experience working with SAP is an advantage.
• Very good command of English; German skills are a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; intercultural environments experience.

Aufgaben

• Manage technical projects in steel structures from sales through design and production to on-site assembly.
• Take full technical and commercial responsibility for project execution within budget and timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, project management, engineering teams and customers to align requirements.
• Lead international engineering teams and external partners for timely delivery.
• Oversee supply chain activities for fabrication and delivery of steel structures.
• Review deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with expectations.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Support factories in resolving quality cases and NCRs.
