Job summary

Shirley Parsons is assisting an international energy sector organisation in Geneva for a senior Global Safety and Assurance Manager role. The position oversees process safety, operational risk management, and independent assurance across multiple global sites.

You will work with senior executives to challenge practices, influence global standards, and drive improvements in high-hazard environments. Regular global travel is required, and fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or other high-risk sectors with HSEQ exposure.
• Working knowledge of process safety.
• Degree in chemical, process engineering, or petroleum; safety qualification at diploma level.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve a robust global audit program.
• Provide data and present findings to board members monthly.
• Provide root cause analysis and lessons learned with continuous improvement plans.
• Develop and track leading and lagging performance metrics against KPIs.
• Contribute to a strong global HSEQ culture as part of the senior leadership team.

We are supporting an international organisation operating within the energy sector in the appointment of a Global Safety and Assurance Manager. This is a senior opportunity to strengthen process safety, operational risk management and independent assurance across a diverse portfolio of international locations

Working with senior executives and operational teams across multiple regions, you will provide objective oversight of critical safety controls, challenge existing practices and help ensure that major accident risks are effectively managed. The position offers the opportunity to influence global standards, strengthen operational discipline and drive meaningful improvements across complex, high-hazard environments.

The Global Safety and Assurance Manager will be responsible for:

• Strategic level position that will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improved of a robust global audit program
• Provide data and present findings to board members on a monthly basis
• Provide root cause analysis and show lessons learnt with continuous improvement plans
• Develop and track leading and lagging performance metrics against agreed KPIs
• Form part of a senior leadership team in growing a strong global HSEQ culture

The Global Safety and Assurance Manager will have responsible for:

• 10 years + experience working in Oil & Gas industry or other high risk sectors within health & safety
• Working knowledge of process safety
• Degree qualified in chemical, process engineering, or petroleum
• Safety qualified to Diploma level
• Happy to work in a position with regular global travel
• Fluent in English is a requirement for the position

The position will be required to be based in Geneva, relocation package considered for the right candidate.
