Novartis is seeking a Director of International Policy Communications in Basel to shape and lead the global policy communications strategy across diverse markets. You will translate complex healthcare, regulatory, and access topics into compelling narratives and guide cross-functional teams across Public Affairs, Value and Access, and Communications.

You will drive strategic messaging, influence policymakers and industry stakeholders, and leverage data and AI to improve communications

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience in policy communications, public affairs, or corporate communications within multinational organisations.
• Proven track record at Director level, with tangible examples of impact and delivery.
• Deep expertise in the geopolitical landscape with knowledge across Europe; APMA/other regions a plus.
• AI fluency in day-to-day execution and understanding AI impact on external landscape.
• Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging insights and AI to inform communications strategy.
• Demonstrated success in highly matrixed, international environments with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Public Affairs, Communications and senior leaders.

• Define and evolve the global policy communications strategy aligned with enterprise and Public Affairs priorities.
• Shape and govern integrated policy narratives across international markets.
• Translate complex policy, regulatory, and access dynamics into strategic narratives.
• Design scalable global frameworks, toolkits, and messaging architectures for local execution.
• Drive enterprise-wide preparedness through scenario planning and strategy responses.
• Orchestrate cross-functional alignment with Public Affairs, Value and Access, Patient Advocacy and Communications.
• Harness data and AI to inform strategy and enhance predictive communications.
• Serve as the central strategic integrator across regions and policy ecosystems.
