Takeda in Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking a senior engineering leader to set enterprise governance for equipment operations and drive facility-fit innovation across regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.

You will partner with manufacturing sites worldwide, lead capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer, and champion standardization and continuous improvement to ensure reliable patient supply.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated 10+ years of progressive technical competence and leadership in pharmaceutical engineering or similar industry.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving mindset, decision-making, and influencing skills; global matrix experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering technologies supporting product development, manufacturing, and regulatory/quality requirements.
  • Recognized as a problem-solver with strong communication and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

  • Lead enterprise governance for equipment operations and facility-fit innovation to improve competitiveness and ensure patient supply.
  • Serve as the primary interface for manufacturing sites, driving equipment/technology operations support and resolving process and plant-engineering issues.
  • Lead facility-fit assessments for manufacturing equipment and facilities to enable network strategy, capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer.
  • Lead manufacturing and plant equipment improvement programs to deliver right-first-time production, including contamination control initiatives.
  • Evaluate equipment operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality (throughput, OEE).
  • Drive technology innovation through SME groups, ensuring standardization, sound solution selection, and effective troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain equipment capacity modelling to monitor utilization, identify bottlenecks, and unlock capacity across the network.
  • Support capital investment and business case development for equipment technology and facility fit, including benefits realization and funding logic.
  • Act as enterprise integrator across Manufacturing, MSE, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Digital/DT, Procurement, and Finance.

Job Description

About the role:

  • Set enterprise governance for equipment operations and facility-fit innovation to improve competitiveness, ensure compliance, and protect reliable patient supply across regulatory, quality, capacity, and environment,healthand safety requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface for manufacturing sites, driving equipment/technology operations support and resolving process and plant-engineering issues.
  • Lead facility-fit assessments for manufacturing equipment and facilities to enable network strategy, capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead manufacturing and plant equipment improvement programs to deliver right-first-time production, including contamination control initiatives.
  • Evaluate equipment operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality (e.g., throughput, overall equipment effectiveness).
  • Lead facility and process-equipment evaluations and define design selection criteria to support network strategy, capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer, within regulatory requirements.
  • Drive technology innovation through subject matter expert working groups, ensuring standardization/commonality, sound solutionselection, and effective troubleshooting.
  • Build andmaintainequipment capacitymodellingtomonitorutilization,identifybottlenecks, and unlock capacity across the manufacturing network.
  • Support capital investment and business case development for equipment technology and facility fit, including benefits realization and funding logic.
  • Act as the enterprise integrator across Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Quality, Environment Health Safety and Sustainability, Supply Chain, Digital/DD&T, Procurement, and Finance, including executive oversight of critical supplier/partner ecosystems to unblock delivery and communicate strategy and progress.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical,Chemical, Process, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or relatedengineering disciplinerequired. Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated10+years ofprogressivetechnicalcompetence and leadership experiencein pharmaceutical engineering orsimilar industrywith strong understanding ofGxPcompliance and EHS requirements, includingICH, FDA,CMC, ISPE and PDAguidancedocuments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with strongproblem-solving mindset, decision‑making, and influencing skills; ability to lead in a global matrix organization; proventrack recordin driving alignmentandmanaging change.
  • Provenknowledgeand experienceinengineeringtechnologies supportingproductdevelopment and manufacturing,project execution,global process and facility engineering and the associated regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Recognized as aproblem-solver,creative and innovative thinkerwith strong technical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
