Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to plan, execute, and lead risk-based and special audit engagements across our global operations. You will assess internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks, delivering independent assurance and practical recommendations.

You will work with senior stakeholders, apply data analytics and AI-enabled techniques, and travel internationally up to 30-40%.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CIA or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Internal Audit, preferably multinational and/or Big Four.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and GIAS.
• Experience leading end-to-end audit engagements in corporate/finance/operational settings.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; report writing proficiency.
• Experience applying data analytics and an interest in AI/automation; fluent English; travel 30–40% internationally; German language advantageous.

• Plan, execute, and lead risk-based and special audit engagements across global operations.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance.
• Perform audit fieldwork, analyze processes, and identify operational improvements and risk mitigation.
• Prepare clear, concise audit documentation, reports, and presentations per GIAS.
• Present observations to management and monitor remediation actions.
• Support identification of emerging risks and strategic initiatives.
• Utilize data analytics, AI-enabled audit techniques to enhance coverage and insight.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships across regions while maintaining independence.
