Julius Baer in Zürich is seeking a Head Data Office to lead enterprise data management, governance, and data quality across the bank. You will shape the data strategy, establish standards, and partner with risk, compliance, IT, and business units to enable trusted decision making.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, drive regulatory data obligations, and implement governance forums with KPIs. Fluency in English required; German is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data management and governance within global financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of private banking/wealth management processes and data challenges.
• Proven experience establishing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata, MDM, data lineage, and data lifecycle.
• Regulatory, risk, and reporting requirements in financial services.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Define and evolve the Bank's enterprise data strategy, governance framework, and roadmap.
• Establish data governance standards, policies, and operating procedures.
• Drive data quality management and lifecycle management across domains.
• Interface between business units, risk/compliance, and IT on data governance matters.
• Lead metadata management, data catalog, glossaries, and records management initiatives.
• Provide oversight through reporting, KPIs, and governance forums for leadership.
• Build and lead a high-performing data governance team, fostering continuous improvement.
