Job summary

Paradox Engineering SA is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to protect networks, systems, and data within its Security Operations Centre. You will monitor security alerts, support incident response, and help implement best practices across international teams.

The role requires MS in computer science or equivalent, 3+ years in IT security, and hands-on experience with Windows/Linux administration and security technologies. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in computer science or equivalent experience in related fields.
• Three years of experience in IT security, IT operations or system administration.
• Practical experience with Windows and Linux administration: patching, updates, hardening, services and configuration.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory concepts such as users, groups, permissions and group policies.
• General understanding of network protocols and architecture (TCP/IP, routing, switching, filtering).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, OWASP)
• Experience or familiarity with security technologies (EDR, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF).
• Knowledge of incident handling or computer forensic techniques.
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal), including the capability to write clear technical documentation and to explain remediation steps to colleagues with different levels of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts from SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Run recurring security monitoring activities, and produce clear reports for both technical and non-technical readers.
• Support incident response activities, from initial containment to post-incident reporting.
• Support IT operations activities such as configuration, update, and maintenance of Windows and Linux systems.
• Write and maintain operational procedures, remediation playbooks and technical documentation.
• Assist in the development, documentation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, standards and certifications.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the organization and across the group through knowledge sharing.
