Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG is seeking a General Manager Belgium to lead a military flight training service for the Belgium customer. The role oversees a local Pilatus organization, coordinating Pilatus employees and sub-contractors, and represents Pilatus in-country with the customer and industrial partners.

You will manage a multi-national team, drive performance against KPIs, and be responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the service while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifikationen

• At least 10 years in aviation, with a management role in aircraft availability or similar.
• Experience in operational and commercial aspects including contract management, personnel mgmt and budget management.
• Experience with military customers is a plus.
• Strong leadership style and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in French and English written and spoken.
• Temporary Swiss assignment through Q3 2027, then permanent Belgium base.

Your Tasks

• Responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive and significant military flight training service to the Belgium customer
• Establish a local Pilatus organisation to manage and coordinate Pilatus employees and sub-contractor partners to deliver the engineering, maintenance and logistics services necessary to successfully execute our contractual responsibilities
• Act as the senior representative of Pilatus in-country to interface with senior customer representatives and industrial partners
• Lead and motivate a multi-national team of managers and skilled specialists who undertake detailed planning and monitor/report performance against pre-determined KPIs
• Responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the service as well as contract and sub-contract management is a key element of the role
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures, standards and obligations

With this you convince us

• At least 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a management role in an aircraft availability operation with exposure to public contracts
• Both operational and commercial experience including contract management, personnel management, finance/budget management and performance analysis experience
• Experience working with military customers would be an advantage
• Compelling leadership style
• Ability to speak and write fluently in French and English
• This position will include a temporary assignment to Switzerland until Q3 2027 and afterwards will be based permanently in Belgium
