Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to help advance Centerpiece and related GenAI initiatives. The role involves developing and deploying models, collaborating across teams, and improving data processing and infrastructure to support Google's search and AI features.

You will work on projects critical to handling billions of queries with high reliability and scale. The team values versatility, leadership, and the ability to tackle problems across the full stack, with opportunities to switch

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience or 1 year with advanced degree.
• 1 year of ML infrastructure experience.
• Experience with GenAI techniques (LLMs or related concepts).

Responsibilities

• Launch new versions of Centerpiece by improving models and training student models.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Improve the tooling and infra.
• Maintain or ablate other systems that provide similar data, re-directing clients to Centerpiece.
• Implement GenAI solutions, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to data preparation and optimization.
