Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to network automation tools and IT-FCS management frameworks. You will work across the stack, including back-end services, APIs and web interfaces, in a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, continuous improvement and staying current with software trends. Hybrid work is supported with 40 hours per week in Geneva, under a 24-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in software development through various engagements.
• Exposure to web applications front-end, back-end or both.
• Experience with databases, data models or APIs.
• Team-based collaboration in projects or internships.
• Familiarity with version control, testing and CI is an advantage.
• Max two years of professional CS/SE experience since graduation; Bachelor's or Master's required.
• No CERN fellow/graduate contracts; university degree required; PhD not eligible.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to the development of CERN's network automation tools and DHCP updates.
• Extend IP Address Management for Layer 2 interfaces and related modelling.
• Maintain and evolve the IT-FCS Web interfaces used by CERN users.
• Design and develop new modules for internal IT-FCS network and telecom management.
• Promote and develop DevOps processes to increase automation and quality.
• Propose and implement changes in database models and network APIs.
• Stay up to date on latest software technology trends.
