Proton is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join the Meet team, building intuitive, performant, and secure user experiences for our communication platform. You will develop and maintain user-facing features, ensure responsive UI, and collaborate with backend, design, and other teams.

We value strong frontend architecture, accessibility, and rapid feature delivery. Experience with React, TypeScript, and large projects is key; bonus points for agentic AI and WebRTC MLS.

Meet Frontend Engineer

As a Frontend Engineer on the Meet team, you will play a key role in building intuitive, performant, and secure user experiences for our communication platform.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing features, ensuring seamless interactions, responsiveness, and high‑quality UI across devices. Working closely with backend, design, and other teams, you will help deliver features that are both reliable and user‑centric. You will advocate for clean, maintainable code and strong frontend architecture, while balancing performance, accessibility, and rapid feature delivery to provide the best experience for our users.

Tech Stack and Tools

• Frontend: React and Rust
• Backend API: PHP/Symfony
• All client code is open‑source and GPL3.
• Migrating infrastructure to Kubernetes
• Runs on premise in Proton data‑centers
• Work organization uses Jira and Confluence
