Reboot Monkey is seeking freelance Data Center Technicians to deliver on‑demand, remote support for global data centers. The role involves hardware installation, diagnosing complex issues, and managing network operations to ensure high reliability and security.

You will work independently while coordinating with remote teams, traveling as needed, and maintaining documentation and consistent service levels for diverse clients.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, including independent/freelance work.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices and ability to manage Linux and Windows servers.

Aufgaben

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) for secure, efficient operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, performing updates, patches, and security enhancements.
• Document installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance for remote management.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data center infrastructure and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on operations and projects.
