Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Applied AI to translate conversational prototypes into production-ready solutions, owning end-to-end engineering life-cycle. You will work on Gemini Enterprise-powered AI initiatives, collaborating with model builders to deliver high-impact customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python or C++).
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or GenAI concepts.
• 1 year of experience with AI/ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging).
• Experience developing and deploying multilingual natural language processing models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the delivery lead for conversational AI pilots, refactoring PoCs for production with secure integrations.
• Own delivery of initial Customer User Journeys (CUJs) ensuring flows meet top priorities.
• Architect and optimize complex agent workloads, focusing on reasoning loops, tool selection, and latency reduction.
• Implement critical infrastructure like rate limiting, error management, and regional failover; build monitoring for Go-Live traffic scaling.
• Architect security perimeters (VPC, IAM, CMEK) to satisfy CISO requirements and optimize RAG strategies.
