Lufthansa Aviation Training in Zürich is seeking a skilled Automation/Electronics technician to help maintain and upgrade flight simulators and related systems. You will diagnose faults, collaborate with engineers, and ensure simulators are available and accurate for training.

The role requires knowledge of C/C++, Unix/Linux/Windows, TCP/IP networks, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician EFZ, Electronics Technician EFZ, or a comparable technical qualification with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Experience in electronics / microelectronics and IT
• Solid expertise in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex systems
• Knowledge of the programming languages C++ and C, operating systems Unix/Linux/Windows, and TCP/IP networks
• Experience in the maintenance of aircraft systems (avionics) is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shift work
• Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and a high level of resilience
• Good command of English, both written and spoken

Aufgaben

• Maintenance, servicing, and modification of our flight simulators, including computers and peripheral devices
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting in close collaboration with other engineers
• Ensuring the availability and operational readiness of the simulators
• Ongoing updates to positively impact the performance and accuracy of the training devices
• Close cooperation with other departments to ensure seamless integration of the simulators into the training environment
• Competent and service-oriented point of contact for our international customers
• Participation in various projects
