Zusammenfassung

Future Kitchens is recruiting a hands-on Head of Finance to own the finance function for 55+ partner restaurants in Switzerland. You will design and run accounting, payroll, VAT compliance, and financial reporting, turning data into strategic decisions for management and investors.

You will report to the CEO and collaborate with Growth and Operations. The role emphasizes automation, dashboards, and scalable processes in a fast-growing food tech company with an office in Zürich.

Qualifikationen

• Completed commercial or finance education (Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, ideally on the path to expert level, or equivalent)
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Switzerland, ideally in high-transaction-volume contexts (gastronomy, retail, e-commerce)
• Strong command of Swiss OR, Swiss VAT, and Swiss payroll including social insurance
• Ability to automate workflows and build scalable processes
• Proficient with Bexio and/or Abacus; adept at connecting tools via automation platforms
• Fluent German and professional English

Future Kitchens is the operating system for virtual food brands. We build delivery-first consumer brands like SmashClub® and KNOCKOUT®, and plug them into partner restaurants across Switzerland. 55+ partner locations. And we're just getting started.

Tasks

You own the numbers. All of them.

This is not a back-office bookkeeping job. You'll run the finance function of a fast-growing food company, and you'll build the automated accounting infrastructure that lets our restaurant partners run their virtual restaurant business without ever touching a spreadsheet. What you build becomes a core part of our partner product.

You report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Growth and Operations teams.

What you'll do

Run the books. Full ownership of accounting for Future Kitchens AG: accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, VAT filings, all under Swiss OR requirements.

Prepare weekly partner payouts. Every week, 55+ partner restaurants get paid. You reconcile platform revenue (Just Eat, Uber Eats, Wolt), apply the commercial terms, and make sure every payout is correct and on time. Partners trust us with their revenue. You're the reason that trust holds.

Prepare financial statements. Monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for management, the board, and investors. Clean, on time, decision-ready.

Build financial dashboards. Real-time visibility on revenue, margins, payouts, and store-level performance. For management, for the board, and for partners. If it matters, it's on a dashboard, and it's current.

Build the automated accounting practice for partners. This is the big one. You'll design and roll out a fully automated accounting service for our restaurant partners: payout reconciliation, revenue reporting, and clean books, delivered as a product, not a service desk. Manual work is a bug, not a feature.

Run payroll. Monthly payroll for all internal staff: salaries, AHV/IV/EO, ALV, BVG, accident insurance, withholding tax, and annual salary certificates. Accurate, compliant, zero drama.

Requirements

What you bring

• Completed commercial or finance education (Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, ideally on the path to expert level, or equivalent)
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Switzerland, ideally in a high-transaction-volume environment (gastronomy, retail, e-commerce, marketplaces)
• Solid command of Swiss accounting standards (OR), Swiss VAT, and Swiss payroll including social insurance
• Strong systems mindset: you automate before you delegate, and you'd rather build a workflow once than repeat a task weekly
• Confident with modern accounting software (Bexio, Abacus, or similar) and comfortable connecting tools via integrations and automation platforms
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; experience with BI or dashboard tools is a strong plusFluent German, professional English
• You're precise under deadline pressure. Weekly payouts don't wait.

Nice to have

• Experience with delivery platform reporting and reconciliation (Just Eat, Uber Eats, Wolt)
• Experience building finance processes from scratch in a startup or scale-up
• Exposure to AI-assisted workflows and no-code automation (Make, Zapier, or similar)
