Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced technician to perform electrical and automation service tasks at customer sites across Switzerland. You will ensure timely, high-quality service while adhering to safety and cost targets, and maintain clear communication with customers.

The role requires German fluency, basic English, an electrician or automation technician background, and a willingness to travel and participate in on-call rotations. ABB offers strong career development and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an electrician or automation technician with several years of professional experience.
• Solid expertise in electrical and automation technology.
• Strong process affinity and a structured approach to defined workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• High quality awareness, personal responsibility, flexibility and resilience.
• Proficient in MS Office; willingness to travel extensively and participate in on-call duties across Switzerland.
• Fluent in German, basic English; Swiss B license.

Responsibilities

• Performing technical tasks at customer sites in the medium- and low-voltage sector.
• Ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets with service PM and field service leadership.
• Communicating necessary changes per quality standards, comply with instructions, regulations and safety, submit time and expenses.
• Informing customers about ABB Switzerland AG service offerings and support acquisition of additional service orders.
