We are seeking a full-time Commissioning Field Technician to join our dynamic and growing engineering consulting practice. We are looking for motivated candidates who can grow with the company. The selected applicant will be expected to perform facility condition assessments, MEP condition assessments, construction project inspections, site data collection for energy audits, commissioning site inspections, and retro-commissioning field investigation services on a variety of property types. Experience performing construction, site data collection, equipment testing and inspection is preferred.
This position will require you to perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and institutional properties. You will collect relevant information to assist in the review and tracking of project progress and status on active construction projects. The ideal candidate will be adaptive to working with all property types, and knowledgeable with regard to a variety of building systems.
As part of the field inspections, the successful candidate will also be required to perform construction oversight and construction review verification on projects on an as needed basis. Tasking on these construction tasking can include submittal reviews, RFI review and support, on site plan verification, attendance at contractor-owner meetings, and pay application review and response.
The successful candidate may also be expected help perform commissioning field activities, construction verification, and field functional testing.
Associates degree in Engineering or related fields
EIT preferred, Commissioning Certification a Plus
Must be able to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be prepared to encounter all construction site conditions, including noise, dust, heights, odors, and enclosed spaces, and be physically capable of traversing sites with unstable footing, stairs, rough terrain, adverse weather, ladders, roofs, and other mobility-challenging conditions. Must possess the physical ability to take measurements, perform tests comparing in-place work to contract requirements, and observe work activities throughout the course of construction.
