A leading research organization in Switzerland is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their Fibre Optics Section. The role involves establishing installation requirements, overseeing contractors, and validating optical fibre installations. Ideal candidates should hold a Master's or PhD degree and possess strong technical documentation skills. This position offers a monthly stipend of 6287-6911 CHF, comprehensive health coverage, and opportunities for training and professional growth. Work will be fully onsite, with potential for contract extension.

Join the Fibre Optics Section in the Electrical Engineering Group (EN-EL) and actively participate in the design, preparation, supervision and validation of optical fibre installations. The Engineering Department (EN) pushes forward the limits of technology so that physicists can carry out their research.
The Fibre Optics Section in the Electrical Engineering Group is responsible for the management and operation of the CERN optical fibre network. Its main missions are to operate, maintain, consolidate and upgrade the fibre infrastructure connecting CERN buildings, accelerators equipment and particle detectors.
Your main tasks will be related to HL-LHC project and CERN's Personnel Safety System Consolidation (PSS-CONS) program.
The candidate will be guided in acquiring knowledge of optical fibre infrastructure and installation technics. The ability of efficiently supporting and integrating with the Section Team will be key in the daily work.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
