Job summary

BRUSA Elektronik AG in Buchs, St. Gallen, Switzerland, is seeking a Business Application Specialist to operate, support, and continuously develop our ERP, Finance, CRM, and DMS systems on-site.

You will handle incidents, implement service requests, manage data integrations, and drive BI reporting (Power BI) and SQL analyses, while exploring AI tools to accelerate processes and improve data quality. The role requires a completed degree in Business Information Systems or an equivalent

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Information Systems or comparable qualification.
• Experience operating or supporting business applications, ideally ERP systems.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and an enthusiasm for implementing solutions quickly and pragmatically.
• Basic knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., Python or PowerShell); experience with Infor, d.velop d.3, or Lobster is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of business processes and an independent, structured way of working.
• Very good German and good English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Operation, support, and continuous development of our business applications (ERP, Finance, CRM, and DMS systems)
• Handling incidents, implementing service requests, and driving continuous improvements and upgrades
• Managing data integrations and interfaces while ensuring data quality
• Developing and enhancing reporting and BI solutions (Power BI) as well as performing analyses and evaluations (SQL)
• Developing small tools, automations, and prototypes using modern AI coding assistants
• Leveraging AI to increase efficiency in data analysis, reporting, and process optimization
• Serving as the point of contact for business departments regarding application-related questions
• Gathering, analyzing, and implementing business requirements as well as continuously optimizing business processes
