Job summary

Randstad Switzerland is recruiting a Laboratory Technician for Environmental Monitoring in QC Microbiology in Kaiseraugst. The role focuses on microbiological environmental monitoring to ensure product safety for manufacturing plants, with weekend shift coverage and adherence to GMP/SOPs.

The ideal candidate holds a Biology or Chemistry lab technician qualification with 2+ years of relevant GMP experience, fluent German and English, and a precise, team-oriented work approach.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as Biology/Chemistry Lab Technician or equivalent.
• Experience in microbiological lab work and environmental monitoring in GMP environments is preferred.
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
• Careful and precise working style with strong teamwork.
• Experience with GMP documentation and GMP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and evaluate bioburden testing and microbial count determinations in microbiological QC.
• Prepare and sample microbiological samples in cleanrooms.
• Sample ultra-pure utilities (WFI, gases) and perform bioburden tests.
• Document work and results in GMP-compliant records and LIMS.
• Handle sample logistics and ensure timely testing with proper documentation.
• Work weekend/holiday shifts approx. 1x per month.
• Perform activities independently according to standard instructions and GMP/SOPs.
