Job summary

ITech Consult AG seeks a seasoned Senior Enterprise/Domain Architect for a strategic transformation program in the banking sector. The project focuses on consolidating core banking systems and creating a future-proof reference architecture.

Location is Zurich with a 14-month full-time hybrid contract, starting January 1, 2027. The role requires extensive enterprise/domain architecture experience in banking, core banking transformations, and TOGAF/CBM with agile methods.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise or Domain Architect in banking or complex IT landscapes.
• Proven core banking transformations, consolidations or migrations across banking domains.
• In-depth knowledge of reference architectures, banking applications, and common integration patterns.
• Experience with TOGAF, Capability-Based Modeling, and agile methods (Scrum/SAFe).
• Strong communication skills at management and implementation levels.

Project Focus: We are seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise / Domain Architect for a strategic transformation program in the banking sector. The focus is on consolidating existing core banking systems and developing a future-proof, cross-functional application and reference architecture. Start date: January 1, 2027; full-time (100%) for 14 months in Zurich.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic target and reference architectures for core banking systems and related applications.
• Analyze and evaluate business requirements across various banking domains.
• Develop the transformation and implementation roadmap, including dependencies, critical paths, and exit points.
• Providing technical support for the RfP process, as well as evaluating and challenging potential solution providers.
• Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, business units, management, and delivery teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes, ideally in banking.
• Proven experience with core banking transformations, consolidations, or migrations across multiple banking domains.
• In-depth knowledge of banking applications, reference architectures, and common integration patterns.
• Experience with TOGAF, Capability-Based Modeling, and agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Strong communication skills at both the management and implementation levels.
